In this project, the goal was to collaborate with Alcantara another
material or technology in order to create a new fabric.
This interior space will reflect the connection between humans and nature, and provide the user with a sensation of awareness and belief in a clean and sustainable environment integrated with the technology of materials in order to create anew mechanical and optical properties.

THE PATTERN

It is a design approach and enabling technology for additive manufacturing
of biodegradable hydrogel composites. Derived from organic matter, printed by a robot, and shaped by water.
The platform enables 3D printing of water-based composites and regenerated
biomaterials such as chitosan, chitin, cellulose, or sodium alginate for the
construction of highly sustainable products and building components.
It demonstrates that water-based fabrication of biological materials can be used to tune the mechanical, chemical, and optical properties of aqueous material composites.
The result of a unique, exclusive technology, Alcantara is a truly cutting-edge
material which can be used to cover any shape or surface, offering un par
alleged aesthetic, technical, and sensory qualities.

The pattern is inspired by a natural shape, and from the water-based digital fabrication material that is integrated with Alcantara fabric.
